Kyoko Imazu is a master with pen and paper. His piece Nico and Miki (the rabbit one) exemplifies his attention to detail in the fur of the rabbit. Though based on seemingly lighthearted subject matters, I get the feeling that his work is hiding something sinister. Thought the rabbit and fish look cute, something is just off putting, it might just be the strange girls that make an appearance in many of his works. His piece ,Pollination, (on the right) is a really creative idea linking humans back to their natural form as an integral part of nature. The woman reminds me of one of Picasso's blue women which he painted curled up with her back to the viewer. His work caught my eye, and I would really love to discover the story behind these ink drawings.
